ALAN G. BOOK
AGE: 44 FORMERLY OF TOMS RIVER
Alan G. Book, Palm City, FL, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, at home. He was a graduate of T.R. High School East.
He was predeceased by his grandmother Pauline Darwick in 2003. Surviving is a son, Andrew Ryan Book, and Andrew's mother, Wendy Hendrick; parents Harold and Linda Book; sister, Jennifer and her husband Bruce Longo; sister Gayle Slavick; nieces Alexis Longo and Gillian Slavick; nephew Ty Slavick; two dear friends Terry Hamshar and John Paterno. He leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous close friends.
Visitation will be held at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River, from 2-3pm on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010. A funeral service will take place at 3pm. Gathering to Follow.

For almost 15 years Al was like my little brother. Now, he's gone and I'm at a loss. We lost touch for a long time but I spoke with him a few months ago and never would have imagined this.
My deepest, deepest condolences to his family. Al was much loved here and he'll be sorely missed. He'll always be "Aldo" to me.
