AGE: 70 • Manchester
Alan Greenberg, 70, of Leisure Village West, Manchester, died January 15, 2016 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. He was the owner of several business', including Maplewood Cleaning Clinic in Maplewood and retired in 1995. Born in Newark, he had resided in West Orange before moving to Manchester in 2011. He was a member of the LVW Bocce club, Farmers club, Service club, & Dance club. He enjoyed playing cards, bocce, and all sports. He had played football for Summit High School and semipro football for the Summit Titans. Alan was predeceased by his father, Joseph Greenberg, and daughter, Jessica Greenberg. Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Patricia Greenberg; mother, Florence De Freitas; daughter, Jennifer Cardona; brother, Barry Arthur Greenberg; sister and brother in law, Michele & Joseph Rush; sister, Kim Uanis; 2 grandchildren, Alex Cardona, & his wife, Laura, and Austin Cardona; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Savino & Joann Russoniello; 9 nieces and nephews; and 4 great nieces and nephews. Visitation is Sunday 1-5pm at the Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, with a prayer service at 4pm. Cremation will be private.
