ALBERT CALA
AGE: 50 WHOSE FAMILY LIVES IN MANALAPAN
Albert Cala, 50, of Las Vegas, Nevada, whose family lives in Manalapan, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2010, at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas. Born in New York, he lived in the Bronx, NY and then in Charlotte, NC, before moving to Las Vegas 4 months ago. He worked in finance at Wachovia Bank, Charlotte, NC.
He was predeceased by his father, Michael, in 2003. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his two sons, Steven and Gregory, both of Staten Island, NY; his mother, Anna Cala of Manalapan; and his brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Maria Cala of Manalapan.
Friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, June 23rd, from 7 to 9 pm, and on Thursday, June 24th, from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm, at the Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, June 25th, at 10 am, at St. Gabriel's Historic Church, Route 520, Marlboro. Interment will be private.

How sad if we believed that this was all there was to life ... that a person would live whatever number of years to just end up gone. Al, you left your mark in this life as you fought a brave fight and lived each day fully and courageously. We are so proud of you, Al and you will always live on in our memories and our hearts. And we can rejoice today that you are not gone from us but you have transitioned to the place we all aim to be someday - a place with our Lord Jesus Christ who resurrected and defied death completely. Jesus awaits each one of us to live with Him eternally ... Al, you just got there a little sooner than the rest of us. Family and friends ... remember the prophet Isaiah in Chapter 25, Verse 8 "He will swallow up death for all time, and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all our faces..." We miss you, Al and we will see you again. With our love,
