AGE: 74 BELFORD
Alice M. Kelly, 74, of Belford, passed away peacefully after a short illness on Saturday, March 27, 2010 in Neptune at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. She was born in Hillside, NJ and lived in Port Monmouth until settling in Belford. Alice worked in the Payroll Department for the Middletown Township Board of Education. She was an avid reader and was fond of crossword puzzles and a good game of solitaire. Her true joy came from spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, James, of 51 years; her sons, Robert Kelly and Don Kelly; her daughter, Cheryl and her husband Robert Cunningham and their daughter Victoria; her brother, Donald and his wife Maryann Hartman; her sister, Janis and her husband Joe Sharkey; her sister, Eleanor Bertha; her nephew, Fred and his wife Tina Bertha and their son Trevor; her nephew, Greg Bertha and his daughters Heather and Nicole; her nephew, Scott Bertha; her niece, Dale and her husband Jed Restuccia and their sons Dagan and Axel; and her nephew, Mike Sharkey. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Alice Hartman; her uncle, Richard Miller; her father-in-law, Miles Kelly; and her mother-in-law, Catherine Kelly.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday at 11 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made in memory of Alice to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
