ANDREW A. WARZOCHA
AGE: 86 LANOKA HARBOR
Andrew A. Warzocha, devoted son and caregiver, of Polish immigrants, Tekla and Andrew (Andro) Warzocha, was called by our Lord, Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at Tallwoods Care Center, Bayville. Born in Newark, NJ on Jan. 18, 1924, he was a communicant of St. Casimir's R.C. Church in the Ironbound "Downneck" section. He was a graduate of Ann St. Grammar School, East Side High School, and attended Casey Jones School of Engineering, until called to the U.S. Army to serve his country.
He is survived by his caring sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Theodore (Teddy) Kessler, with whom he resided in Lanoka Harbor for 14 years. He was a member of the Old Guard, Chapter 19, of Forked River. Andrew was predeceased by his two older sisters, Adele Kervel and Wanda Warzocha and his niece, Ellen Kervel. Surviving also are several nieces and a nephew, and five grand-nephews.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday at Layton's Home for Funerals, Forked River. Friends and relatives may arrive at the funeral home Wednesday at 8:30 a.m., thence to the Church of St. Pius X where a funeral mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, donations to Samaritans of St. Pius X Church, Lacey Rd. Forked River, NJ or Care Alternatives Hospice, 70 Jackson Drive, Suite 200, Cranford, NJ 07016, would be appreciated.
Andrew will be remembered as the "Quiet" man.
