AGE: 74 • Brick
Anthony Michael Emma, 74, of Brick, NJ. Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Van Dyke Hospice at Community Medical Center. Originally from Westchester, NY, Anthony moved his family to Brick, NJ 34 years ago so they could enjoy a suburban upbringing and to be close to the beach. Anthony served in the U.S. Army during peacetime and spent his life as a carpenter, working in NJ and NYC before his retirement in 2001. He was also a parishioner of St. Justin the Martyr Roman Catholic Church.
Anthony is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara (nee Lierni); his sons, Michael of Brick, Christopher of Brick, and Anthony of Las Vegas, NV; his daughters, Marsha of Wellington, FL, and Karen of Las Vegas, NV; his brother, Peter of Spring Valley, NY; and his eleven grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2012 from 1 to 5 PM at Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Rd., Toms River. Mass of a Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 30, 2012 at 9:30 AM at St. Justin's RC Church, please arrive at the funeral home at 8:30 AM. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River. www.silvertonmemorial.com
