Barbara Kann Obituary
AGE: 69 • Lakewood
Barbara J. Kann, 69, of Lakewood, passed on Monday, July 25, 2011, peacefully at her home. Born in Newark, she lived in Union before moving to Lakewood in 1999. Barbara was a forth grade teacher for 25 years for Middletown Community School, retiring in 1999. She was chosen Teacher of The Year in 1998-1999. She was a member of the Junior Women's Club of Bayonne, Women's Club of Brick and the Deborah Chapter of Four Seasons.
She is survived by her husband, George; her mother, June Warfield of Brick; and two brothers, Richard Warfield of Sea Girt, and William V. Warfield of St. Petersburg, Fla.
Visiting will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 27 at the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Road, Toms River. Services 10 a.m. Thursday, July 28 at the funeral home; arrive 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Parkinson Disease Association, 135 Parkinson Ave., Staten Island, NY 10305. www.silvertonmemorial.com
