AGE: 60 • Long Branch
Barbara Texido, 60, of Long Branch, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Monmouth Medicaid Center in Long Branch. She was born on Staten Island and had lived in Toms River and Freehold before moving to Long Branch. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother and proud grandmother. She enjoyed shopping and wine tasting, as well as pottery in her spare time. She also enjoyed cooking and entertaining family and friends. Barbara enjoyed spending time in Florida and she was looking forward to spending time at her vacation home in South Carolina. She leaves behind her husband of 39 years Joseph Texido, a son and daughter-in-law John and Meredith Texido, a daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth and Brian Kirk, a brother and sister-in-law Richard and Linda Sangster, two grandchildren, Emmerson Rose Kirk, and Donovan Murphy Kirk, and two nieces Bianca and Ally Sangster. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 2 PM to 4 PM and 7 PM to 9 PM at Waitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 501 highway 79, Morganville, NJ. We were greatly saddened by hearing that Barbara had passed away. She and Joe moved into their home in South Carolina late last year. We got to know each other while our dogs played with each other in the back yard. We loved to watch their craziness and would laugh at them. I always enjoyed our talks together. She was a great neighbor and a great friend. Barbara, we wish you peace.

Dear Joe and family,
We were so saddened to hear about Barbara. She was one of the first people we met at Diamond Beach, and we enjoyed seeing you both at the pool! She was so proud and loving to her grandchildren when they visited.
We will miss her. We will keep you and your family in our prayers.
