Carl R. Christiansen

Oakhurst - Carl R. Christiansen, 66, of Oakhurst, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at home. Born in Long Branch, he has resided in Oakhurst for the past 40 years.

After a 25-year career at Bell Labs and Lucent Technologies in Holmdel, he was widely known for over 20 years as an Entrepreneur with a niche in buying and selling and became a staple and a constant smile at local Auctions. He was very active in supporting the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 71 of Oakhurst, the Oceanport Hook & Ladder Company and was an avid hiker & camper.

Surviving are his loving wife of 24 years, Patricia "Teesha" Christiansen of Oakhurst; parents Carl and Florence Christiansen of Woolford, MD; his children: Jason Christiansen and wife Beth Ann of Westfield; Chelsea Christiansen and Fiancé Richard Wilder of Brick; Jennifer Swick of Oakhurst and Kelly Swick of Ocean; his sister Patricia Pfleger and husband John of Oceanport; his brothers: Curtis Christiansen and wife Kim of Herndon, VA and Gary Christiansen and wife Marie of San Diego, CA; nieces, nephews and cousins and 9 fiercely adored grandchildren who proudly and lovingly call him PopPop.

Carl's wife and family want to thank the Doctors and staff at Memorial Sloan Kettering for his last year of care and Grace Hospice's Nurse Missy for her dedication during his final 6-week journey.

Arrangements for a celebration of Carl's life are under the direction of John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. Service date and time will be announced via https://www.pflegerfuneralhome.com over the next few days.
