Carol Derrick Obituary
AGE: 72 • Bay Head
Carol H. Derrick, wife of Dr. Richard E. Derrick of Bay Head, New Jersey, formally of Mendham, New Jersey passed peacefully on October 12, 2014 after a short illness. She was surrounded by her loving family. She leaves two sons Richard Jr. of Basking Ridge, NJ and daughter-in-law Linda, Meade of Brick, NJ and daughter-in-law Jennifer. She also leaves two grandchildren, Morgan and Richard III both of Basking Ridge. She also leaves a cousin, Pamela Kimble of Oxford, Georgia. She grew up in Morristown, NJ and was the daughter of Edward and Eileen Horrigan. She was a member of the Bay Head Yacht Club, the Manasquan River Golf Club, and All Saints Episcopal Church, Bay Head, NJ. She loved gardening and interior design. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 11:00am at All Saints Episcopal Church, 500 Lake Avenue, Bay Head, NJ 08742. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carol's memory to the All Saints Episcopal Church. Funeral arrangements under the direction of the O'Brien Funeral Home, Brick. Richard, I got an email from Tom Chesson who had seen the Obit. I'm so sorry for your loss. We seem to be losing too many friends and classmates. My buddy Steve Joostema passed away last week. We loved Mrs. Derrick. She would bring her grandchildren to our office in Basking Ridge. Nettune and Banasiak Orthodontics. She was a lot of fun to talk with and a great sense of humor! The front staff always loved seeing her. We are so saddened and shocked to hear of her passing. She was a lovely lady. Our condolences to the entire Derrick family
