Beach Haven Terrace - Carolyn Ross Trube, 92, of Beach Haven Terrace, New Jersey, passed away on February 21, 2021. A Graveside Service will be held at noon on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Hanover Cemetery, Hanover Road, East Hanover, NJ.

Carolyn was born on Staten Island, New York on November 9, 1928. She married William Trube and lived in Chatham Township, New Jersey for over 35 years. Ahead of her time in many ways, she served on local Civil Defense, the Rescue Squad, as a crossing guard and then policewoman during her time in Chatham Township, while raising her four boys. She became a "ham" radio operator, sharing this interest with her son Ron, learning morse code to earn her license. She loved singing folk music with her folk guitar when the boys were young and passed on her love of music, her gardening "green thumb" and her interest in family history and genealogy. She was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She worked multiple jobs so she could purchase her beloved home on Long Beach Island, New Jersey in 1964, where she and her family spent their summers. She and William relocated to Punta Gorda, Florida in 1987, still spending summers on LBI. Returning to LBI full-time after William's passing in 2017, she spent her remaining years in the home she loved, surrounded by her cats and the love of her family.

She is survived by her four sons Kenneth of Barnegat, NJ; William and his wife Patricia and grandson Erik of Barnegat, NJ; Aaron of Beach Haven Terrace, NJ; Ross and his wife Diane and grandchildren Kenny and Emily Trube of East Windsor, NJ; grandson James Trube and his wife Vickie and great-grandchildren Brian and Dylan Trube of Palm City, FL, and Andrew Dudenhoeffer of Meadville, PA. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). Arrangements under the direction of Bugbee-Riggs Funeral Home, Ship Bottom.
