Catherine Dimeo Obituary
Highlands - Catherine Dimeo, age 88, of Highlands died Monday, December 17, 2018 at Care One At King James Nursing And Rehab Center of Middletown, NJ. Mrs, Dimeo was born in Lancaster, PA she lived there and many other places until 1994 when they settled in Highlands.
She graduated from Millerville State Teachers College with her degree in Education
She was employed as a Kindergarten Teacher for 30 years when she retired.
She was an avid traveler who traveled around the world. She loved to swim and in college was a member of the Synchronized Swimming team.
She is survived by her husband: Rocco Dimeo; and Nieces and Nephews.
Cremations will be private and a service will be planned in the future.

Dear Rocco!
So very sorry to hear about Cathy's passing. I was just thinking of both of you a few days back when mailing Christmas cards. Cathy loved to decorate hers with all kinds of stickers and pictures - will miss these and Cathy so very much! My heartfelt sympathies!

I'm so sorry to see this, my thoughts and prayers are with Rocco and all the family members. Mrs Dimeo was my kindergarten teacher at Morganville school in 1958! She was so patient and caring with all of us, and that left a lasting impression with me, both of her and for all my future teachers that I would have. She did a great job paving the way! I'll always remember how I missed the bus to go home one day; I went back inside crying not knowing what to do. Without question, she drove me to the bus stop in her nice shiny green car where my mother was waiting at the Morganville Post Office. That's when kids had to walk a mile to a bus stop, and teachers wouldn't think twice about bringing a student home in their own car. How times have changed. Thank you Mrs. Dimeo--you were a wonderful teacher.
