Chester DeVito Obituary
AGE: 72 • Howell
Chet passed away suddenly on June 8, 2017. He was born in Mansfield, England, and resided in Carteret, NJ and Jackson, NJ before moving to Howell over 30 years ago.
His family and friends knew him as a "Jack of all trades". He was a Marine Corps Veteran, a Police Officer and Detective in Carteret, worked in Auto Sales, and most recently worked at Twin Pond Farms, Howell.
Chet is survived by his loving wife, JoAnne, his two sons, Eugene and Joseph, his daughter, Pamela, his mother, Iris (Cook), his sister, Andrea and her husband Joe DiGirolomo, and two grandchildren, Justin and Bodie.
Family and friends are invited to visit the DiCostanzo family owned, Lakewood Funeral Home, 6250 Highway 9, Howell on Wednesday from 2-6 p.m. His funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Military Honors and interment will follow at B.G William C. Doyle N.J. Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown.

Iris, Andrea and family of Chet,
I want to express my deepest condolences to all of you during this time. I know how difficult it is and wish there were some words that could bring peace to your hearts now. Just remember that the loving memories that you have of Chet will stay in your hearts forever and as long as you keep them there he will never be far from you.
If my mother was here she would be by your side during this time. You were her best friend and the memories we all had in Jersey City growing up is still a happy remembrance for me.
Chet is now with Gene and they will look down upon you all!

Joanne & The DeVito Families; Our Deepest sympathy goes out to you on the loss of your Son, Husband, Dad, and Grand Father. I have known Chet since I was 14 when I first met him in Carteret High School. My sister and I remember all the good times we had. I will especially miss the class reunions (1963) that we always sat together and would reminisce on all the good time. May he rest in peace
