Daniel William Lawlor, 49, of Neptune City, passed away on June 26, 2013, surrounded by the love of his entire family. Hailing from Cranford, Danny moved to Point Pleasant during high school, and later went on to Kean College in Union. A seasoned salesman, and familiar face in multiple Home Depots, Danny was currently employed as a Business Development Rep with PPG.

It was at Kean College where he met the love of his life, Patricia Doyle. Together with Patty, Danny built the life and family of his dreams. He had much to be proud of in his life, but nothing brought Danny more joy than his family. Danny loved spending good times with family and friends, and never wanted those good times to end. This is not "goodbye"… but merely, "until we meet again".

Danny was predeceased by his parents, Carol Kuch Lawlor & Ken Lawlor, his cousins, Chris and Tim O'Leary and Mary Mueller, and his in-laws Sandy and Bill Doyle. He is survived by his loving wife Patty; children Erin and Connor; brothers Greg and his wife Patti of Underhill, VT, Jeff and his wife Kim of Avon-by-the-Sea, Kenny and his wife Barbara of Keyport, and Tim Makin and his wife Diane of Morganville; "sister" Maura Fitzsimmons and her husband Kevin of Neptune City; his brothers-in-law Jack Doyle of Belmar, and Kevin Doyle and his wife Heather of Lake Como; his enthusiastic aunt, Dorothy Kuch of Red Bank, as well as many nephews and nieces, Tamra Lawlor, Nate Doyle, Hunter Jakupko, Zachary Jakupko, Brennen Fitzsimmons, Patrick Fitzsimmons, Justin Makin and Emma Makin.

Danny will forever be remembered for his unique sense of humor and contagious laugh. An athlete and coach, Danny loved nothing more than watching his children on the lacrosse fields or wrestling mat. It is Danny's love of sports, and his passion for children's involvement in athletics that will leave a lasting impression on countless people.

Danny found no greater joy than in entertaining family for holidays and get-togethers. Danny personified the idea that family is not necessarily always blood related, and instilled that belief in his children and other "family members." Danny lived his life larger than anyone will ever see, and will be constantly remembered as "the life of the party." Danny was proud of his family's constant ability to "put the fun in dysfunctional," and to make the absolute best out of every possible situation. His family is taking comfort in the fact that it has taken a one-in-a-million chance to take down a man who was truly one-in-a-million.

Visitation will be at O'Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35, Wall, on Friday from 5-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Church, Avon, on Saturday at 10am.
