DANIEL POLIFRONI
AGE: 90 ORTLEY BEACH
Daniel Polifroni, 90, of Ortley Beach, NJ, died on November 23, 2010 at his home. Born in Weehawken, NJ, he lived in Pallasades Park before moving to Ortley Beach 25 years ago. Daniel worked as a tool and dye machinist for Blickman in Weehawken, NJ. He was a founding member and Past President for over 20 years for the Property Owners Association of Ortley Beach. He was a Parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Seaside Heights, and he was also an Usher at the Church. He was an avid Yankee fan and proud of his vegetable garden. The family would like to thank Daniel's loyal friends and neighbors for their attentiveness during his time of need. The family would also like to thank the Toms River Police Department, and Ortley Beach First Aid Squad. Also, the family would like to express their deep appreciation to his caregiver Edisher Gagishvili.
Daniel is predeceased by his wife Theresa in 2008. Surviving is his children Robert and his wife Maureen of Harrington Park, NJ, Daniel and his wife Dorthea of Old Tappan, NJ, and Josephine and her husband Michael Napoletano of Damarest, NJ. Six grandchildren, Michael, Theresa, Michele, Daniel, Thomas, and James. Seven great grandchildren, Matthew, Isabella, Sophia, Michael, Emma, Gianna, and Anthony.
The family will receive friends on Friday November 26, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 706 Hwy 35 N. Lavallette, NJ 08735. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday November 27, 2010, 10am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Seaside Heights. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Toms River, NJ.
