Jackson - Daniel Raimondo, 84, of Jackson, NJ died on Friday, February 9, 2018.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, he lived in Kearny before moving to Jackson in 1948.

He retired from Darling Industries in Harrison, NJ after 41 years of service.

He was a parishioner of St Aloysius RC Church in Jackson.

Dan was married to the love of his life, Lois for 60 years before her passing in 2014. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Dan's greatest passion was coaching and mentoring the youth of Jackson. He was one of the founders of Jackson Pop Warner Football in the 1960's and continued as a head coach for many years. Dan also coached baseball and was named president of Jackson Little League in the 1970's. He was president of the Jackson Recreation Commission and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Lions Club.

Dan took up many hobbies throughout his life but one of his favorites was boating and fishing. He captained his boat "Black Jack" where he spent many days on the ocean with his family and friends.

He was predeceased by his wife Lois (Pedersen).

Dan is survived by his daughter Teresa Sweador and her husband Frank of Brick, sons Richard and his wife Lisa of Barnegat, Philip of Forked River and Mark and his wife Donna of Jackson, his grandchildren Jeffry, Tara, Jaclyn, Christie, Philip II, Courtney, Leia and Mark Jr, his great grandchildren Angelica, Danny, Colin, Claire, Jaxon and Jordan.

The family and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Monday from 4-9pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals DeBow Chapel 150 West Veterans Hwy, Jackson, NJ. The Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday 9:30am at St Aloysius RC Church, Jackson, NJ with burial to follow at St Mary's Cemetery, Lakewood, NJ.

Donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
