Deidre D.o Obituary
Belmar - Dr. Deidre Day Sieck, D.O., 43, of Belmar passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. She was born on April 7, 1975 at Jersey Shore Medical Center.
She went to St. Rose Grammar School and then graduated from St. Rose High School in 1993. It was while she was in high school that she began volunteering every year with the Henry B. King Medical Brigade, which served the sick and poor of Honduras. It was through this work that she developed her deep love of helping sick children and confirmed her desire to become a doctor.
She graduated from the University of Scranton in 1997 and from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2003. She successfully completed her residency at Nemours/Alfred I DuPont Hospital for Children where she frequently wore her pajamas to entertain the kids.
Deidre was an exceptional doctor to every patient she saw, a loyal friend to every person she met, a master cupcake maker for all St. Rose bake sales, a devoted wife to a husband she "enjoyed" molding daily but her greatest gift, her greatest accomplishment was that of being a Mother…and she was second to none. Deidre loved and cherished her children more than anything, she was, without question, the unprecedented and undeniable leader of "Team Sieck" with the Sieck boys playing the role of faithful followers. As team leader, she enjoyed meticulously planning trips to Disney, day trips to New York City that included Broadway plays, the Lego Store and Dylan's Candy Bar.
Deidre was predeceased by her daughter, Agnes Keena Sieck and her mother, Sharon Keena Day. Deidre is survived by her loving husband, Francis Sieck and her sons, Liam, Finnian and Tadhg, her father Steven Day and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Reilly Bonner Funeral Home, 801 D Street, Belmar, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30 am at the church of St. Rose, Belmar.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Deidre's memory can be made to St. Rose Grammar School c/o Claire Rachich, 605 6th Ave, Belmar, NJ 07719.

I had no idea Dr. Seick passed until I requested her for my daughter's physical yesterday! I'm so sad and heartbroken. She was younger than me! She will be missed as my daughter will be so sad to hear her favorite doctor is gone. God rest her soul.

I am a medical student who had the opportunity to work with Dr. Sieck, during my rotation in Pediatrics at JSUMC. I am heartbroken to hear of her passing.
She had a wonderful, natural enthusiasm that touched everyone she came across, and I learned so much from her. My condolences and thoughts are with her family.

I am heartbroken to hear of Dr. Sieck's passing. She was such a wonderful doctor to my girls and we all adored her. A visit to Dr. Sieck felt more like seeing a friend. Not only was she a skilled physician, but more important she was an outstanding person.
Our prayers go out to her loved ones. She frequently spoke with such love and joy about her husband and children. She will be deeply missed by so many. May she rest in peace.

She was my favorite doctor when she worked at Haddington Spectrum Center. I remember she got pregnant and went on leave and I would be so upset because I had to get a new doctor. I would've loved to see her one more time! She will be missed incredibly.

My heart is completely sadden by this news. She was a wonderful doctor to my children. I'm not sure how I will find anyone that compares to her.
