Doris Vorek Obituary
AGE: 71 • Toms River
Doris P. Vorek, 71, of Toms River, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Newark, Doris grew up in Irvington, permanently relocating to Beach Haven West in 1972. Doris began a long career in the insurance industry, eventually transitioning to real estate sales. The bulk of her career was spent with Bayshore Agency in Tuckerton, where she formed lifelong friendships.
Doris is survived by her son, Michael Henry, Toms River; granddaughter, Jordan Henry, Little Egg Harbor; stepson, Jerry Vorek, Beach Haven West; sister, Judy Padalino, Forked River; niece, Stacy Padalino, Manahawkin; and close friend, Marlene Johnson, Tuckerton. Those closest to Doris knew her tough exterior was no match for her generosity and fierce commitment to family and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made in Doris'name to Transplant Center @ RWJUH, 10 Plum St., 7th floor, New Brunswick, NJ 08901, or to Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital, P.O. Box 820, Browns Mills, NJ 08015. Per Doris' wishes, arrangements will be private and are being handled by Wood Funeral Home, 134 East Main St., Tuckerton.
