Douglas McTaggart

AGE: 56 • Old Bridge

Douglas McTaggart, 56, passed away suddenly on the morning of April 10th, he will be greatly missed by his friends and family. Doug was born in the Bronx, NY where he lived with his family for five years before moving to Matawan, NJ where he was a life long resident and the owner of The Dougout for 27 years. Doug was a huge baseball lover, with a deep passion for the New York Yankees.

Doug is predeceased by his mother, Alice McTaggart; and his brother Gordon McTaggart. He is survived by his father, John McTaggart; his son John McTaggart; his sister, Tammy Ward and her husband Frank Ward; his sister, Debbie Carroll; his sister, Heather Lanzaro and her husband Larry Lanzaro; his nieces, Jessie Ward and Maryalice Carroll; his nephews, Dylan Ward and Joseph Lanzaro; as well as many other dear family and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held for Doug at the Washington Engine Company No. 1 Fire House on Monday, April 13th, from 3 pm to 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial for Doug will be held at St. Clement Roman Catholic Church at 172 Freneau Avenue, Matawan, NJ on Tuesday April 14th at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, family and friends can make donations in Doug's name to the Washington Engine Company No. 1 Fire House at 176 Jackson Street, Matawan, NJ.
