Edward Barrett Obituary
AGE: 49 • Hazlet
Edward Barrett, 49, of Hazlet, NJ, died on October 25, 2014 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge, NJ. He was born in Red Bank to the late John and Mary (nee Wirsing) Barrett and lived in Hazlet his entire life. Edward worked as an iron worker when he was younger. He was a member of the Idiot's Delight Bowling League at Airport Plaza and he was a huge supporter of animals.
Surviving are his three sons, Eddie, Ryan, and Conner Barrett; his step-children, Peter, Megan, and Katie; his brother and sister-in-law, John and Terry Barrett; his sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Tom Dayback; and his nieces and nephews, Leanne and Brandon Barrett, Kaitlyn, and her husband Kevin, Frederick and Tommy Dayback.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 5-9 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 11 am at the funeral home. Family and friends are invited to arrive at 10:30 am. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Mausoleum, Holmdel.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in Edward's name to the Monmouth County ASPCA, 260 Wall St, Eatontown, NJ 07724 or any animal friendly charity of your choice.

OMG I am so shocked to read this about Eddie, we went back in the early 80's when he was still a kid he loved my corvette, what a great person. I hadn't seen him in over 30 years I guess and often thought of him. I extend my deepest sympathies to his family but know he is in a better place now. Stay strong he will always be by your side, look for the signs!
