EDWARD W. BIALY
AGE: 88 WHITING
Edward W. Bialy, 88, of Whiting, passed away on Dec. 17th at Community Medical Center. Edward was born in Bayonne, he resided in Hillside for 45 years before moving to Whiting 7 years ago. He worked for Singer Manufacturing Co. in Elizabeth for 41 years retiring as Mgr. of Technical Services and 20 years as a Crossing Guard for the Twp. of Hillside. Ed served in the US Navy during WWII. He is a Communicant of St. Elizabeth Anne Seton Church & member of the Adoration Society & Exercise Club; a member of the Hillside Knights of Columbus, Fr. Canty Council 3197; former Deputy Chief of Hillside Fire Auxiliary; former Deputy Coordinator of Hillside Civilian Defense; former Eucharist Minister at Immaculate Conception Church in Elizabeth; the Singer Club; Past trustee of the American Polish Club, Whiting; American Legion Post 502, Whiting; & an avid outdoors man.
Edward is survived by his wife of 62 years Elynore T. (nee Brouss) and daughter & son-in-law Clayre & Gerald McCann of Elizabeth, NJ.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 am Saturday January 9, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Anne Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Rd. Whiting, NJ under the direction of the Growney Funeral Home, Forked River, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to My Mother's House Inc., P.O. Box 685, Browns Mills, NJ 08015.

My condolences to Eds Family. He was my mentor when I was a Time Checker at age 17 working at Singers. We shared many lunches together and went to Mass at Sts Peter and Paul. I will keep him in my prayers. Now at age81, maybey we'll meet again. Bill Chafatelli, Originally from Roselle Pk, NJ.
