Edward Schrum Obituary
AGE: 81 • Edison
Edward J. Schrum, 81, of Edison, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 at Brighton Gardens of Edison. Born in New Brunswick, he was a resident of Edison most of his life.
Mr. Schrum served in the United States Army. He owned and operated Schrum Plumbing and Heating in New Brunswick for many years before retiring. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was predeceased by his sister Jane Hoebich in 2016. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years Concetta Schrum (Stridacchio) of Edison; his daughter Rosanne Larsen and her husband Robert of Edison, his son Edward J. Schrum and his wife Lisa of Hillsborough; his grandchildren: Jenna Mc Menamin, Steven and Nicole Schrum, and Alyssa Larsen; his brother Bernard Schrum and sister Rita Klinger.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 20 from 4-8 pm at Boylan Funeral Home 10 Wooding Ave., Edison. On Saturday, January 21, friends and relatives are invited to gather directly at St. Matthew's R.C. Church in Edison for a 9:30 am Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway.

We were saddened to hear of Mr. Schrum's passing. We will always remember his big smile and laugh. He was a very nice man and we are glad we got to know him and his family. You are all in our prayers .

We are so sorry for your loss, Ed was a wonderful man. We were his tenants for 20 years before we purchased our home. During our time as his tenants he became a great friend. Someone I always looked forward to talking to daily just before work. He was amazing and we are blessed to have known him. RIP dear friend...
