ELAINE H. GLOFF FISCHER
AGE: 84 TOMS RIVER
Elaine H. Gloff Fischer, 84, of Toms River, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. Born and raised in Fords, she lived in Edison before moving to Toms River in 1983. She was a bookkeeper with Waldron Harding Company; Tenneco Chemical Company and for Suzuki of Edison. Elaine was a Girl Scout Leader in Edison, and was an avid Bingo player.
Elaine was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Frank J. Fischer, in April 2008; her brother, Rudolph; and her two sisters, Audrey Moroz and Janice Eaton. Surviving are three daughters, Joyce Fox of Toms River, Donna Light and her husband Robert of Lavallette, and Cathy McCann of Toms River; two sisters, Bernice Olsen of Holmdel, and Dolores Watkins of Chillicothe, Ohio; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, with a 7 p.m. service at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River. The family will gather from 10 until 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009 at the funeral home. Burial will follow to Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
