Ella Mae "Ellen" Cuccia

AGE: 71 • Colombus

Ella Mae "Ellen" Cuccia, 71 of Columbus, died Sept. 25, 2011 at Mt. Holly Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly, surrounded by her family & friends. She was born & raised in Jersey City & had lived in Piscataway before moving to Columbus 7 years ago. Her first husband Thomas Marecki & a son James Marecki predeceased her. Ella worked part time for a local bank many years ago but her most important job was taking care of her family & raising her children. She enjoyed dancing, Elvis songs, making trips to Atlantic City, traveling & spending time with family & friends. She had a great sense of humor & always was seen smiling. She was a former member of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Piscataway & a current member of St. Andrews Church in Jobstown. Surviving is her husband of 37 years Giacomo "Jack", her children Peggy Maxted & her husband Larry of Hamilton, Thomas Marecki & his wife Lina of Princeton, Rosalie Pizzaia & her husband Gene of Jackson, & 4 grandchildren, Danielle, Adam, Brandon & Victoria, all Pizzaia. Visiting is Tues. 5-9PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen. There will be a 10AM Mass of Christian Burial on Wed. at Our Lady of Fatima Church. Interment Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.
