It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Eric R. Goetz on Sunday, March 28, 2010.
There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 18 at United Methodist Church, 23 Church St., Manasquan. A reception will follow at South Wall Fire-Rescue, 2605 Atlantic Ave., Wall.

I met Mr. Goetz 1965 when Mr Dietrich owned the store. I am deeply saddened by his passing. Please accept my deepest sympathy and prayers and may memories comfort you at this time.

In 1968, my wife and I moved from Maryland to Brielle New Jersey. I visited Dietrich Opticians and met Eric for the first time, He asked if we met before, I said no. When I returned for my glasses he said, we
were on our honeymoon together, two years earlier, and he found
our pictures in his wedding book. Since that time, we remained
friends for years. He will be missed by all. Donald Davis
