ESTER HANSEN
AGE: 87 WHITING
Ester Hansen, 87, passed away on January 3, 2010, at her residence. Ester was born in Norway and immigrated to Brooklyn, NY in 1948. In 1988 she moved to Cedar Glen Lakes - Whiting, and then in 2008 to the Pines at Whiting. She was employed by Marsh & McClennan for 30 years as a clerk and retired in 1988.
Ester is predeceased by her husband Johan Hansen (1976), and sister Signe Foss (2002). Ester is survived by her brother Torger Dahl of Rochester, NY, and two nieces, Karin Berge and Ragnhild Gjesdal, both of Norway.
A visitation will be held on Sunday January 9th from 2 - 4:30pm at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home - 115 Lacey Rd - Whiting. A funeral service will begin following the visitation hours at 4:30pm. Interment will take place on January 10th at the Ocean View Cemetery - Staten Island, NY. While flowers will be gratefully welcome, donations in lieu thereof can be made in Ester's name to the Ocean County Evangelical Free Church - 1 Proving Ground Road Lakehurst, NJ 08733.
