Evan G. Doucette

AGE: 61 • Long Branch

Evan G. Doucette, 61, of Long Branch, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Evan was born in El Paso, Texas and lived in Keyport before moving to Long Branch. He was employed with Conrail/CSX Rail, Jackson, Florida as a Signal Maintainer for 27 years. Evan was a Navy Vietnam veteran, and was an avid Yankees fan.

He is survived by "the love of his life" his wife, Flor E. (Rodriguez); his daughters, Vivian of Tinton Falls, and Diana of NC; his sons, Evan and David of Keyport; four brothers; four sisters; grandfather of five, Alyssa, Colin, Virgilio, Marc and Lexis. He is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, with a funeral service at 3 p.m. at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank. Interment will be private. Please visit Evan's memorial website at www.johnedayfuneralhome.com.

Evan lived a full life as part of 8 siblings and a loving mother and father
He traveled and lived half way aroung the world as part of a military family and the Navy, Evan lived his life to the fullest, His pride was the achievments of his daughter Vivian and his sons Evan and David, He glowed when he spoke of his two grandchildren
He played many sports and loved baseball with #1 being the New York Yankies made his bothers and nephews avid Yankee fans. We want to thank his loving wife Flora for the care and the love she gave him she comleted his life. Evan is the first and great loss to our family We will always miss him and his memory will live with us always
