Frances Bucich Obituary

Frances D. Bucich

AGE: 79 • Hamilton

Frances D. Bucich, 79, of Hamilton, NJ, entered into eternal rest peacefully in her home after a brief illness on January 23, 2016, with her loving family at her side. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she resided in Howell for 45 years before moving to Hamilton in 2014. A stay-at-home Mom and later, a bookkeeper, Frances' greatest joy was her family. Especially dear to her was the time spent with her grandchildren.

Frances was predeceased by her parents, Antonio and Rose (LoCascio) Ficalora; four brothers and their wives, Frank (Mary) Ficalora, Joseph (Anne) Ficalora, Floyd (Inez) Ficalora and James (Mildred) Ficalora; parents-in-law, Frank and Anna Bucich; and, two sisters-in-law, Karen Kaden and Kathryn Bucich. Frances is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Joseph and loving children: daughter, Lori Ann and son-in-law Paul La Plante, and son, Joseph, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Susan Purcell, and seven grandchildren who adored her. Also surviving are brothers-in-law, Frank Jr., Robert (Rose) Bucich and sisters-in-law, Eleanor and Marilyn (Tom Byrnes) Bucich. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren. Frances cherished the time with Eileen and Jeff Wechter and their family, who were among her many dear friends.

Funeral services will begin Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great R.C. Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square. Visitation for relatives and friends will be Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home. Interment will follow at the Princeton Memorial Park, Robbinsville, NJ. The Bucich family is grateful to the beautiful women of Holy Redeemer Hospice who cared for Frances so lovingly in the last weeks; they loved her and always treated her with respect as a person with dignity. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Frances' name to Holy Redeemer Hospice, 521 Moredon Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. www.saulfuneralhomes.com

Dear Uncle Joe,
Lori, Joseph and family,

I'm so sorry for your loss....i close my eyes and I can picture Aunt Fran now walking around the kitchen in Howell 30 years ago in her apron and us as kids running around in the backyard playing with stick horses and other toys...She was a great person and will be truly missed by many.....I know my mom and Aunt Kathy will take care of her now and they will ALL watch over our families from heaven :)

Love,
