AGE: 87 • Leonardo
Francis Cogger, age 87, of Leonardo died Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at home in Leonardo. Mr. Cogger was born in Killasser County Mayo, Ireland. He met his lovely Bride Winifred "Una" while living in Queens NY. He then moved to California for a few years. Later he would move to NJ where he would spend 8 years in Old Bridge and then Leonardo for the last 39.
He served his country Honorably in the Air Force during the Korean War.
He was a communicant of OLPH/St. Agnes Church.
He was a member of NY City District Council of Carpentry Local 157 and employed as a Carpenter until his retirement.
He is predeceased by a brother Edward Cogger, and a sister Lena Cogger Furlong.
He is survived by his wife Winifred "Una" Cogger; his Children Pauline (Joseph) Seminaro; Deirdre Cogger, Mary Cogger, Sharon Cogger, and Brian (Elizabeth) Cogger; his Grandchildren Uma Gambhir, Robert Francis Cogger Schick, Ava Gambhir, Thea Gambhir, Katie Cogger, and Luke Cogger; and many Nieces and Nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call at the John P Condon Funeral Home in Leonardo on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agnes Church, 103 Center Ave Atlantic Highlands NJ 07716 on Tuesday at 9:00 am the burial will follow at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery following the Mass.
In Lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy should be directed to OLPH/St. Agnes Parish 103 Center Ave Atlantic Highlands NJ 07716
