GEORGE W. SICILIANO
AGE: 79 INTERLAKEN
George W. Siciliano, 79, of Interlaken, died Friday, Nov. 7 at home. He was born and raised in Asbury Park before moving to Interlaken in 1955. He was a graduate of Asbury Park High School, and The United Radio & Television Institute, New York. He served in the U.S. Army (Microwave Division) stationed in Karlsrue, Germany during the Korean War. He operated Jerry's Radio & TV Shop in Asbury Park with his brother Jerry for many years. He was later employed with the Borough of Interlaken and BJ's Wholesale, Ocean Township. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Asbury Park, and a member of the Catholic War Veterans and American Legion Post No. 24. He served on the Interlaken Recreation Committee for many years.
He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Geroloma Siciliano; three brothers, Jerry, Joseph and Ernest; four sisters, Mary Cappiello, Theresa Herner, Angelina and Helen Siciliano. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Rachel; two sons and their spouses, George and Brenda Siciliano, of Appleton, Wis., David and Theresa Siciliano of Chester, Maryland; four grandchildren, Brittany Lee, Matthew Ryan, Kelly Marie and Rachel Marie Siciliano; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Diana and John Paller, of Flemington; a sister-in-law, Amelia Siciliano, of Asbury Park and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday held in the Buckley Funeral Home, 509 Second Ave., Asbury Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Asbury Park at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Neptune. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 805 Pine St., Asbury Park, NJ 07712.
