Grace Limongelli Obituary
AGE: 97 • Barnegat
Grace Limongelli, 97, of Barnegat passed Sunday, June 3, 2012. Born in Newark to her late parents, Antonio and Angelica (Gallo) Palmisano, she is a graduate of West Side High School where she became the first female gymnast to win a NJ State Championship on the Parallel Bars in 1932. She formerly resided in Union for 34 years, before moving to Barnegat 23 years ago, where she became a member of the Silver Liners Club and communicant of St. Mary's Church.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, Americo and siblings, Michael Palmisano and Teresa Pennell, she is survived by a daughter, Connie and husband Rudy Mesaros; a son, Anthony and wife Connie Limongelli; 3 grandchildren, Daniel Mesaros, Anthony and wife Lisa Limongelli, Gabrielle and husband Brad Caprari; 4 great grandchildren, Jack, Victoria, Gus, Julia; a brother, Vito Palmisano; a sister, Ann Livecchi; many loving nieces and nephews.
Viewing Tuesday, June 5, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat. Mass offered Wed. at 10:00am at St. Mary's Church, Barnegat. Interment St. Mary's Cem., Manahawkin. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
