Harry Russell Mower, Sr.

AGE: 64 • Tuckerton

Harry Russell Mower, Sr., 64, of Tuckerton, NJ passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2014. Harry was born on March 23, 1950 in Lakewood, NJ to Ethel V. Mower and the late Donald A. Mower, Sr. Harry grew up on Long Beach Island and attended Southern Regional High School, class of "69." He later entered the Coast Guard where he served four years active and was a reservist at the Long Beach Island Coast Guard station for several years thereafter.

Harry married his high school sweetheart, Jeri Dymecki and together they had two children, Harry R. Mower, Jr. and Amanda F. Mower. He is also survived by his brothers, Gregory, Mark and Russell Mower and sister, Dianne Williams. He worked and resided in the Barnegat Bay area for 43 years including LBI, Manahawkin and Tuckerton. A loving and devoted husband and father his family became his whole life. To know Harry was to like him. To know him well was to love him. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him and never forgotten by all who loved him.

A memorial service will be held in his honor on September 6th from 1 - 2 PM at the Long Beach Island Museum, 129 Engleside Avenue, Beach Haven, NJ 08008. In remembrance please donate to ReClam the bay to ensure the bay he knew and loved remains vital for future generations. A memorial fund has been set up in his name at http://j.mp/harrymowersr. Arrangements were handled by Wood Funeral Home, 134 East Main St., Tuckerton, NJ. Sharing of photos would be appreciated.
