Helen Ann "Gwee" Attardi, 92 years old, of Brick passed away September 19, 2015 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Born in Forest City, Pennsylvania, Helen was a broker for the Depository Trust and Clearing Company in New York City, NY until her retirement. Helen was a collector of old movies, she was active in St. Paul's RC Church in Jersey City. She was an independent and hard working single mother who raised her 5 children.

She was predeceased by her son, Robert Attardi; brothers, Joseph Jurain, Andrew Jurain and Stanley "Butch" Jurain and her sisters, Mary Dawson and Catherine "Tootise" Thorpe. Helen is survived by her sons, William and Frank and his wife Terry; her daughters, Nancy McGreevy and her husband John and Lynne Stoll and her husband Lawrence. Also surviving are her cherished grandchildren, Scott, Jennifer, Brian, Tiffany, Kyle, Marissa, Paul, James, Brielyn and Hannah and her great-grandchildren, Andrew, Gino, Emma, Evan and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22 at the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Rd., Toms River. Mass of a Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23 at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Toms River; arrive at the funeral home 9 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. wwwsilvertonmemorial.com
