Herbert A. Knapp, M.D.

Herbert A. Knapp, M. D.,91 yrs. old died at home Mon. June 13 he was born on May 20, 1925 in NYC to Yetta and Victor Knapp. He graduated from New York University School of Medicine in 1951. He was a special investigator for the Monmouth Co. Medical Examiner's office and Assistant Medical Examiner later in the 1950's. Herbert had a private practice in Bradley Beach, NJ and with his wife, Lenore, raised two children. Herbert and Faith were members of The Founders Society of New York University. On June 20, 1966 he met his future wife Faith. On March 15, 1970 they married and had one daughter, Deborah Hillary. Faith had a 90+1 birthday party for him on May 21 at home where he had a wonderful time with his friends. He said this was his last party; his gradual decline ended in his death shortly after.

He is survived by his wife, Faith; two children, Marianne of Newark, Del., and Joanne, of Darien, Conn.; and their grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter with Faith, Deborah Hillary, on June 21, 1993.

There will be a celebration of Herbert's life at his home at 358 Archertown Road, Orford, N. H. on July 10, 2016, from 4 p.m -7 p. m. for friends and family. In lieu of flowers in his memory may be sent to your local food shelf, the Orford Fire Department, P. O. Box 56, Orford, N. H. or Upper Valley Ambulance, Fairlee, Vt.
