Irmgard Weichselbaum

Ocean Grove - Irmgard Weichselbaum, 89, of Ocean Grove, died August 13, 2018. Mrs. Weichselbaum was a secretary for the Deutschewerft Ship Building Yard, Hamburg Germany. Later she was a lab technician for Centra State Medical Center, Freehold. She received her Bachelors of Science Degree from Rutgers University. She was a member of the Jackson Garden Club, the Master Garden Club of New Jersey and the local chapter of the Deborah Heart and Lung Center. Born in Hamburg, Germany, she lived there, then in Jackson Township before moving to Ocean Grove in 2016. She was predeceased by her husband Joel Weichselbaum in 2009 and by her daughter Angelika Heitmann. She is survived by Angelika's children Anna and Felix, her daughter Cindy Knapp and husband Kenny Knapp, as well as their children Kyle and Jessy, her son John Rerup and his wife Jane Rerup and her daughter's Shannon, Jennifer and Brittney, and their children Michael, Christopher, Charlotte and Penelope. A memorial service will be held on Sunday September 9, 2018 at 12 Noon at the Ocean Grove Memorial Home, 118 Main Avenue, Ocean Grove. In lieu of flowers, donation to The Deborah Heart and Lung Center would be appreciated.

I am so sorry for your loss... my prayers are for you and your family. Irmy was a wonderful woman and neighbor. I'll never forget the many cups of tea we had just chatting about flowers and life!
