Jacqueline Herring-Applegate Obituary
Palm City, Fla.
Jacqueline T. Herring-Applegate, a resident of Palm City for 3 years, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013. She was born in Lakewood, NJ and the daughter of the late Francis J. (Buddy) Ogbourn and the late Eleanor M. (Mickey) McAdams Ogbourn and sister to the late John A. Ogbourn, all of Lakewood. Jackie was the wife of the late Douglas Applegate, also of Lakewood. She was a hairdresser for 20 years, also employed by and retired from The Ocean County Board of Elections.
Jackie is survived by two daughters, Linda T. Lane and her companion Michael Gavin of Island Heights, and Karen M. and Robert (Pete) Pedersen of Palm City, FL; two sons, Richard and Lynette Herring of Barnegat, and James and Kathy Herring of Barnegat. Jackie is survived by her sister, Kathryn A. (Tootsie) Gurley of Palm City, FL and Lakewood, NJ. Jackie has 10 grandchildren, Jackie "Jr." Lane Velardi and husband Kyle of Toms River, Brandy and Dustin Millett of Palm City, FL, Danielle Herring of Toms River, Lindsey and Autumn Herring of Barnegat, J.P. and his wife Mary Grace Herring, Nicholas, Shane, and Kallie Herring, all of Barnegat; 3 great-grandchildren, Zack Velardi of Toms River, Mia Herring of Barnegat, and Andrew Craggs of Toms River. Jackie is also survived by cousins, uncles, and aunts, and a great many wonderful friends. At the deceased request, there will be no services.
