Janice was my father George's youngest sister and my mentor throughout my formative years in Waverly. I shall always carry my love for her where it counts the most; in my heart.

Janice and I were born the same year, and our families lived directly across from one another in Waverly, NY. Janice and I, along with my cousin, Bob Kishbaugh, who lived across from us in the opposite direction, played together as toddlers. Both Janice's parents worked at that time in Grandma West's grocery store, so Janice was at our house a lot of the time. She came to confide in and be consoled by my mother at different times in her life, as when Janice's mom died in 1940. May you rest in peace, Janice.

Condolences to Connie, John, Lindsay, Kay and Janine. Your mum was such a radiant, sparkling person and her bright eyes and smile are etched in my memories of Hudson.

Mrs. Fiske's son John is a very special friend of mine. I remember visiting Johh's parent's house (Rumson, NJ) in 1981. Mrs. Fiske was a really nice woman and made me feel welcome their. I also remember watching Das Boot (The Boat), a movie about a German U-boat (submarine) which was in English subtitles, with Mr. Fiske. I remember him telling me to try to remain quiet. I am not sure, but I think he was trying to concentrate on the movie and I think he was trying to understand the German dialogue through the subtitle. I also remember meeting daughter Lindsey (Johns sister). Mr. Fiske and I both worked for Ingersoll-Rand too. The first family member I did meet was Mrs. Fiske at the front door and she made me feel right at home. She was very sweet to me and friend Mark Molla. I do remember that night well and I do remember her. May she be happy and at peace now that she is in God's hands.
