DAVIS-GLISSON
AGE: 16 ASBURY PARK
Jason Terek Davis-Glisson, 16, of Asbury Park, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2010. Jason attended the Asbury Park Public School System and played football with the Asbury Park Pop Warner League.
He is predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Anna Mae Reid. He is survived by his mother, Shatina (Donald) Davis of Asbury Park; father, Jason Glisson of Augusta, Ga.; maternal grandfather, Vasco Reid of Asbury Park; paternal grandmother, Deborah (Frank) Glisson of Asbury Park; his paternal grandfather, James Thomas of Maryland; brother, Nakee and sister, Nyja Davis-Ruffin of Asbury Park; sisters, Te Auana Smith of Brick, and Tyasia of Neptune; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
Visiting hours will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 9 until the time of the funeral at 12 noon at Triumphant Life Church, 1003 Asbury Ave., Asbury Park. Interment will be in Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls. James H. Hunt Funeral Home, Asbury Park, is in charge of arrangements. Letters of condolence for the family may be emailed to the funeral home ([email protected]).

Even though i didn't know you personally, i know your family very well. They are a kind and caring family so you must had been that way too. my heart is saddened at the loss of jason. although i did not know him, i grew up with his grandmother and her siblings. i remember the glissons as a strong clan, lead by their mother, ruby glisson. please except my condolences. we have no more young brothers to lose. i pray your strength at this dark time. love each other and know--"Weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning."

It's such a sad tradgedy that this had to happen. My sincere condolences go out to the Davis family. My most precious memories of Jay Jay as a kid was every Christmas when I would bring my brother Butt Butt home he would meet me at the door and say "what did you get for me" lol he was such a cute and funny lil boy. He will be truly be missed by so many. May he rest in Peace and continue to smile down on us like all the other Angels we've lost at such a young age. Shatina, hold on to all your memories they will make you smile........may God be with you Nakee and Nyja and the rest of the family.

Shatina & Family,

I can't find any one word that I can use to describe Jay Jay! All that I can say is that he will be truely missed...all of his jokes, smart comments, pinches (lol), etc. There is not a day that goes by that I don't wish he would do any of the above. Remembering him in pampers to being outside with no shoes to asking for money for cell phones minutes (lol)...never could I imagine it coming to such an abrupt ending. In due time all wounds heal, but this is one that I know is sure to linger for awhile. Now it's time to shield the others and guide their steps as we know that Jay would want us to. As always, our family bond is one that will never be broken and we will get through this together....love you all!!!
