John Beacham Obituary
AGE: 92 • Manchester
John F Beacham Jr 92 of Manchester died Monday July 2nd at his son's home in Lopatcong, NJ. He worked for Lockheed Electronics in Plainfield for 38 years as a Purchasing Administrator before retiring in 1974. Born in Brooklyn, he resided in Lebanon for 13 years before moving to Manchester in 1986. He served in the Coast Guard as a captain during World War II from 1938-42 and in the reserves until 1964. He earned a bachelor degree from Queen's College. He was an active member of the Computer Club, Leisure Knoll Senior Golf, meals on wheels and delivered the paper to the Leisure Knoll community. He was past president of the Leisure Knoll Organ Club and the Bowling team and active parishioner of St John's Church, Lakehurst. He is predeceased by his wife Leonora in 2005. Surviving is his 3 sons and daughters-in-law, John III & Susan, Stephen & Wendy, and James & Brenda, 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Donna & Rick Frey and Janice & Ken Bush, and 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Visitation is Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester. Funeral Liturgy is Friday 9:30 am at St John's Church, Lakehurst with interment to follow at Brigadier Gen Wm C Doyle NJ Veteran Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers please make your donations to the Parkinson's Foundation 1359 Broadway suite 1509 NY, NY 10018.

I will never forget Mr.Beacham.. His famous sayings "oh you dont care" or "watch the woodwork"... I was lucky to take care of him.. He always had a smile on his face even if he didnt feel like smiling.. He sang to me & all.. I will never forget him & his loving children & grandkids... May he rest... John make sure u watch over Trevor & Gully.... Love always... Jackie P.
