John J. Kallighan, Jr.

Freehold Township - John J. Kallighan, Jr., 58, of Freehold Township died on December 1, 2017. He was born in Teaneck.

He was a communicant of the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, Freehold Township; and a graduate of Freehold Township High School and Brookdale Community College.

He was a photo technician at Walmart, Freehold.

John enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was predeceased by his parents, John J. and Anna Lau Kallighan, and sister, Maureen McCulloch.

Surviving are three sisters and their husbands: Sharon and Cosmo La Macchia, Susan and Donald Gomes, and Colleen and James Bezanson; brother-in-law, Bruce McCulloch; nieces and nephews: Brian, Lisa, Colleen, Michael, Kelly, Ryan, Sean, and Megan; and ten great nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a charity of your choosing would be appreciated. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.

There's a lot I never got to thank my Uncle Jack for. Uncle JackThank you for letting me borrow your car when mine was in the shop. Despite my driving record.Thank you for filming Christmas morning all of those years, because of you we now can look back and remember a true Kallighan Christmas. Thank you for asking me about my many jobs, and my long commutes.Thank you for asking me about my trailer, although I prefer the term mobile home .Thank you for always being so available, after checking your schedule of course.Thank you for always being so appreciate every Christmas for the same old flannel or hoodie we got you. Thank you for being my "roommate" while you were recovering from your surgeries. Also, thank you for overstaying your welcome .. looking back, I am glad you did.Thank you for giving my Dad a brother, someone to go rafting with.Thank you for all those times you watched Maggie
