John Ludgate Obituary
AGE: 91 • Formerly of Caldwell
John Ludgate, age 91, passed away in Charlotte, NC, on February 7, 2012. Mr. Ludgate, formerly of Caldwell, NJ and Point Pleasant Beach, NJ, was born in Scranton, Pa. During World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps. After the war, he worked for IBM Corporation for 38 years in Newark, NJ, while residing in Caldwell. After retirement from IBM, he moved to Pt. Pleasant Beach, and then to Charlotte.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy; his five children: John (Jr.) of Summit, NJ, Peter of Gaithersburg, MD, Clare of London, England, and New York City, Paul of Petaluma, CA, and Susan Young of Charlotte, NC; his 4 grandsons and his brother Robert of Orlando, FL;
Services were held in Charlotte, NC, and he was buried at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hanover, NJ. Expressions of sympathy can be made at mcewenderitachapel.com.
