AGE: 68 MIDDLETOWN
John Mazur, 68, of Middletown, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011 at his home. He was born in Jersey City and lived there until moving to Middletown in 1980. John owned and operated his own stationary store on Rt. 9 in Manalapan for many years. Prior to that he had worked for Smith Barney. He was a very active member of St. Mary's Parish in New Monmouth, serving as an usher for many years and helping out with CCD security among other activities.
Surviving are his brothers, James Mazur and his fiancee, Margaret Falzini of Ewing, and Frank Mazur of Mesquite, NV; his 2 nieces, 2 nephews and 6 grand nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Mazur, as well as by his parents, Frank and Mary Mazur.
Visiting will be Thusday, January 13, 2011 from 4 pm to 7 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, January 14th at 8 am at the funeral home. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 9:15 am at St. Mary's Chapel, 26 Leonardville Rd., Middletown.
