John Murphy Obituary
Oakhurst - John N. Murphy, 51, of Oakhurst, Ocean Township, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 peacefully at home after a long struggle with depression.
John was a graduate of Red Bank Regional High School and was a member of the Shrewsbury Hose Company #1. He also owned Murph's Turf in Shrewsbury for 12 years.
He was predeceased by his parents, Nelson and Dorothy Murphy.
Surviving are his wife, Cassandra, the two were married on November 1, 2002 at St. James Memorial Episcopal Church in Eatontown; daughter, Abigail Murphy; siblings, Elaine Brown, Patrick Murphy and Irene Ott; 9 nieces and 9 nephews and his pets, dog, Willow and cat, Twilight.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 10 am to noon on Saturday, January 12 at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to NJ Center for the Healing Arts, www.njcha.org. For condolences, please visit www.fiorefuneralhomes.com.
