WADE JR.

BORN IN LONG BRANCH
John Joseph Wade Jr., 72, of West Palm Beach, FL, born to Evelyn Shaheen Wade and John Joseph Wade on Nov. 11, 1936 at Monmouth Medical center Long Branch, NJ, departed June 30, 2009. John graduated Montclair Academy 1953. John graduated from Holy Cross College in Worcester, Ma 1957. He was in the Purple Key Club, Freshman Class President, NFCCS, Freshman Debate Team, and the New Jersey Club. He graduated from Seton Hall Law School, South Orange, NJ in 1962. In 1958, John entered the Marine Core Reserves, Paris Island, SC and onto Camp LeJeune, NC. He was a partner in Evelyn Wade & Sons Real Estate & Insurance, Cranford, NJ , later known as Wade Associates. John was raised in Elberon, NJ and Cranford, NJ. His family spent many summers in Long Beach Island, NJ. In 1988, he moved to Florida where he thrived and spent the remaining years reading law books, and watching movies and sports. He was highly intelligent and the epitome of a true gentleman, always very interested in others, had a great love for his family, a true optimist, an unbelievable memory and a great sense of humor.
John is predeceased by his brother, Thomas Shaheen Wade in 1993. Affectionately called Uncle Johnny is survived by his nieces Stacey Wade Brogno, McMurray, PA and Jennifer Wade Baxter, Long Branch, NJ. Their husbands, Glen Brogno and David Baxter, grandnieces, Catherine and Ella Brogno and Kate Baxter and two grandnephews Wade and Luke Brogno. Along with many Wade and Shaheen cousins.
Gray Funeral home, Cranford, NJ is in charge of arrangements. Interment will be at Saint Gertrude's Colonia, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to his favorite charities: The American Red Cross (561) 833-7711 and the United Way Fund (561) 375-6600.
