Joseph Calvert

AGE: 19 • Toms River

Joseph Calvert, 19, of Toms River passed away Friday, November 15, 2013 in Albany, NY. He was a student at The Children's Center, Neptune, NJ.

Joseph is survived by his father Gregory Calvert of Burlington, NC, his mother Barbara Sellari and her husband Louis of Barnegat, brothers; Michael Calvert and his wife Alice England of Portland, OR, Eric Calvert of Barnegat, and David Calvert of Burlington, NC and two sisters; Stefanie Bailey and her husband Ephram of Smithville, and Brianne Calvert currently of Geoje, South Korea. He also leaves behind many loving caregivers and friends at The Maplecrest Group Home in Toms River and at the ARC of Ocean County.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 19 from 11:00am-1:00pm at "The Family Owned" Carmona Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main St., Toms River. Burial will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park. Condolences can be sent to: carmonabolenfh.com

My heart and thoughts go out to the family. I may have only met him a couple times while working at Maple Crest, but he touched my heart when I met him. It is very sad to hear of his passing and I know he will be missed by many. I'm sorry for the loss.

Joey will be missed by so many. The too few times that I was with him were truly a blessing and I'm so thankful that I was able to meet such a genuine soul. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

I am so sorry to hear about Joey. I used to work in maple crest and was one of his caregivers. Joey was a very special kid and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him. His nick name was jo-jo from some of us. You have my deepest apologies and my heart goes out to the family
