Laurie (Larry) Brown

AGE: 84 • Manchester

Laurie Brown, 84, of Manchester, formerly of Red Bank, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012. He was born in Blackville, SC, where he remained until he graduated high school and entered the U.S. Army. After he completed his service to the Military, he worked as a professional painter for over 30 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 59 years, Margaret Madison Brown; his children, Larry Laurie Brown (Karen), Wanda Brown, Wayne Brown (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Christopher, Jared, Courtney, Adriene and Anthony Simpson; two great-grandchildren, Samantha and Matea; his brother, Curtis Brown; his sister, Eunice Wilson; his sisters-in-law, Elva Duncan, Zenobia Brown, and Geraldine Brown; and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012 at Hope Cathedral, Jackson. Childs Funeral Home, Red Bank, is in charge of arrangements.
