Lena A. Yufer, 79, of Howell Township, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Lena was born in Hoboken, raised in Union City and had lived in Shark River Hills before moving to Howell Twp. in 2009. She was a cook for the United Cerebral Palsy of Monmouth and Ocean Counties (now the LADACIN Network) until her retirement. Lena enjoyed life, but loved being with her family.

Lena was predeceased by her husband, Robert Yufer; her son, Dominick Yufer; two brothers, Frank Ciappi and Joseph Ciappi; and two sisters, Ann Bailey and Antoinette Galina. She is survived by her daughters, Antoinette "Tootsie" Barnes and her boyfriend, Tom Pfister and Donna Fiore and her husband, Dominick "Donnie" of Howell; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Yufer of Beachwood; six grandchildren, Jennifer Summers and her husband, Scott, Matthew Barnes, Robert Yufer, Tricia Bednarczyk and her husband, John, Marissa Fiore, and Dominick Fiore III; six great-grandchildren, Devyn Summers, Kyle Summers, Wesley Barnes, John Tex Bednarczyk, Bret Dominic Bednarczyk, and Zack Robert Bednarczyk; three sisters, Mary Merando, Mickey Iacovelli, and Claire Jarrell.

A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the funeral home for the procession to St. Rose Catholic Church, 603 Seventh Ave., Belmar for her 10 a.m. Funeral Mass.
