The world lost a precious mother and wife when Linda Ann Campbell (Dorey) passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021. She was 65 years old. Linda passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving husband and two children.

Linda was born in Neptune, NJ on September 13, 1955 to Peter and Frances "Chickie" Lucia. She was raised in Long Branch, NJ. Linda graduated from Long Branch High School in 1973. Soon after, she met Kevin Robert Dorey. They were married on May 2, 1976 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Long Branch. Linda and Kevin settled in Tinton Falls where they raised their two children, Christina and Matthew. They were happily married for nearly 30 years. For Linda, family was always paramount. She dedicated herself to her husband and children until later returning to the workforce in the field of early childhood education. When Kevin predeceased Linda in death, she relocated to San Diego, CA in 2006.

Many people do not get lucky enough to find love even once in a lifetime. For Linda, she was lucky enough to find love twice. After relocating to San Diego, she married her current husband, Keith Campbell on June 7, 2008. Both from the east coast, the couple enjoyed traveling, music and cooking together. Linda was dedicated to the care and support of her family, especially her two grandchildren who she cherished more than anything.

She remained active in retirement, serving as the President of the Mission Garden Condominium Homeowners Association for 12 years. She served 3 terms as President of the Board.

If you knew Linda, you knew that she was the life of the party and loved hosting a houseful of people - especially during the holidays. She was a remarkable cook, especially of Italian food. Linda made friends everywhere she went and could be relied upon to make you laugh - even in difficult times. She taught her children that if they believed in their goals they could be achieved.

Linda was predeceased by her late husband Kevin Dorey; father Peter Lucia, Sr.; brother Peter Lucia, Jr.

She is survived by her husband Keith Campbell; daughter Christina Ciceron (Dorey) and husband Keith; son Matthew Dorey and wife Megan; her mother Frances Lucia; her sister Helen Lucia; granddaughters Cassidy and Emma.

The family would like to express their gratitude and deepest thanks to the entire staff at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego for their tireless efforts and support over the past weeks.

A pair of memorial services are being planned in California and New Jersey for her family and friends to gather in celebration of Linda's life. More information will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to your local children's hospital in Linda's memory.
