Linda Rowe Obituary
Red Bank
Linda Ann Rowe, of Red Bank, NJ (formerly of Lake Elmo, MN), suddenly and tragically passed away on August 15, 2012. Survived by immediate family, her father, William Rowe, Mother, Nancy Rowe, Sister Cheryl Rowe, and many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
A Graduate of Parsons Design, in New York, Linda was a gifted photographer, with a successful studio in Red Bank, NJ, who was passionate about creating the perfect photo, taking time to make every person feel beautiful and special. She was well known around the music scene for pictures of local bands of New York and the Jersey Shore as they worked on stage as well portraits in her studio. Her passion extended to all animals, rescuing many cats and dogs, healing feeding and finding them good homes. Her heart knew no bounds.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Animal Humane Society of your choice.
A memorial will be held on Monday August 20, at Teak, 64 Monmouth St. Red Bank between 1-5pm.

Linda was a very dear friend of my husband and I, who shined her grace and smile to our lives. We lived in Rumson, NJ, for many years and since 2019 moved to California. At the time of her passing, we attended her memorial ceremony in Red Bank. We never forget her and always talk about our memories we shared together. My sweet Linder. 12 years without you! Steve and I miss you so much. A medium told me when I'm feeling blue to remember your laugh. How could anyone forget that? That last weekend we spent together end of July, all we did was laugh! She also asked me if Oreo's had some significance. I realized she meant REO! A few hours after you left us I heard "Time for me to Fly". I know that was you telling me you were ok. I hear your Mom has joined you. Happy you are with them both now. I love you so much! Thanks for the memories that I will cherish forever. You were truly one of a kind.

I can't believe it's over 10 years. Lovina & I have been teaching our girls photography & they have been assisting us. I've wanted to show them how to load medium format film but didn't have a garbage roll & with film prices being what they are nowadays... I've been actually looking for a dummy roll for a couple days now & tonight I was looking for a lens in a camera bag that came with your Contax Camera that I purchased from your estate after you passed & there... next to 2 of your business cards was a medium format roll that YOU had hand written the word " GARBAGE " on. Thanks for that. We miss you. It was great working with you all those years ago. Wish you were still here.

As a NY Actor I always had Linda shoot all of my Headshots. I had accidently saw a photo she had shot in a magazine while waiting in a Dentist Office. I immediately knew that she was who I wished to shoot with. We connected and shot approximately half a dozen times over the years. We became friends and I could see that she was truly beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. Kind, soft spoken, warm and friendly. It was only after seeking her out for another update of my Headshots that I was unable to contact with her and discovered that she had left us. I even saved the images of her on my cell phone and tell others of the greatest Photographer that I ever met and shot with. Coincidentally, my sixth sense alerted me to her presence, this week. I looked at the images of her in my Gallery and now I know why. It was her reaching out to us again, today. God bless you Linda and when I reach Heaven, I know that you will be there and perhaps we can shoot again. I miss everything about you! My last moment with you was with you, your two dogs and us in your Studio editing our last phot session together. Linda was the Photographer who catapulted my Acting career with her sensational talent and images that she shot of me. The absolute best Photographer and kindest person with a camera. I was so deeply saddened to learn of Linda's death. Heartfelt sympathy to her friends and family. She was a wonderful, spirited soul and we shared a great respect for animals. I have donated to "Angels of Animals Inc." for you Linda -- in memory of you. The money will go to help some recently rescued kittens and cats in urgent need of medial care. I haven't seen Linda for over 25 years. I felt a great loss when I heard she had passed away.
I knew her when she was in her early 20's. She was nice, I enjoyed the time I spent with her. She even introduced me to my favorite drink, vodka sour.
From the other messages, I learned about the kind and caring woman she was. I wish I could have known her also. I know my life would have been richer if I had.

Sending Love and Light to the family and close friends of LAR. I hadn't seen Linda in about 15 years but used to go and visit NYC a bunch and always stayed at her place (we became friends in Minnesota) - she would welcome me with open arms and an open heart each and every time...and one time was nearly 6 weeks! An amazing lady who seemed to touch so many. I am so very saddened and sorry for your loss. There are no words, I know. But I send Love your way now and will continue to for the months and years to come.
