Ferrante Louis Carl, of Shipbottom NJ, Formerly of Hackensack , Passed away October 1st.Born on July 22,1931, he was 86. Lou Graduated Hackensack High School in 1949 and enlisted in the Navy, serving from 1951 to 1954. He attended fairliegh Dickinson University in Rutherford, graduating in 1958. He worked for Bendix in Teterboro and retiring 1991. Survived by wife Marianne (nee Caporaso) of 52 years, Sons Louis J. (Angelie) and Christopher (Robyn) and grandchildren Amanda, Casey, Andrew and Christian. Funeral Thur 10:15am from Kohler Funeral Home 280 Hackensack St. Wood-Ridge.Funeral Mass Thur 11am St. Joseph's R.C Ch. in Oradell NJ. cremation private.Vis Wed 4-8PM

Marianne, I was so sorry to hear of Lou's death. I always looked forward to our chats over the fence at the shore. He took so much pride in your house and his flowers. He went through so much sickness in the last few years but whenever I asked how he was doing, he was doing okay. Hopefully, the many memories you and your family have will help you get through this difficult period.

Sorry to learn of Lou's passing. We were friends at Hackensack High School, Class of '49. Lou obviously didn't become a doctor, but did he ever use his abilities at the French language? As I remember, Lou was loads of laughs in High School. Hope that continued throughout his life. My condolences.

I hope you know our hearts are with you all even tho we cannot be there. We will miss Brother so much. He was smart, talented ,nice and funny. He was the perfect cousin and my knight in shining armor when he came to my rescue to take me to the graduation dance.we shares so many wonderful days as children and adults.
